Maine IRP and IFTA is an online processing system allowing the State of Maine to manage the requirements of the International Registration Plan (IRP) and the International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA). The IRP provides for the equitable and proportionate sharing of interstate truck registration fees based on the percentage of distance traveled in each state or province. Record Keeping Tips
Do you use DOT/ELD Logs to meet part of the IFTA/IRP trip report requirements?
If you do, you need to keep them for 4 years for IFTA, section P510 and 6 or more years for IRP section 1000.
By using the DOT ELD logs you are making them part of the historical records of IFTA and IRP.

IFTA: - Open Procedures Manual and review section P500.
